According to a Professor of Physics at the University of California, it's the greatest travesty of science he has ever witnessed in his long life, and it's caused him to become so disillusioned with the American Physical Society he has resigned after being a member for 67 years. But not before writing a damning critique on what modern science is driven by, in conjunction with the perpetuated lie of global warming.
Here it is in its entirety for anyone willing to read and consider it rationally. For everyone else, just ignore the facts and repeat verbatim what you were told to think by the TV.

If you had even clicked the link you'd have noticed the only thing they add is an even smaller preamble than mine. They simply present what this man wrote.

That's like saying a Biologist disproves String Theory.
Hardly. Physics deal with every aspect of the physical world.
Greek: physis û φύσις meaning "nature") is a natural science; it is the study of matter.

But that's never been the goal of the man made global warming movement. All they've brought forth as solutions are taxes on 'greenhouse gasses', and when you consider very few countries are allowed to have nuclear power by the world police, and many couldn't afford it anyway, you're looking at something which is going to heavily tax all the poorer countries which can only burn coal for electricity and keep them poor, while all the richer countries can easily switch to cleaner alternatives for electricity. This is why the discussions about carbon taxes in the UN have always ended in protest and people walking out. Also, there's no plans to ban gasoline fueled vehicles, just tax citizens who use them, in any country.
Originally by: alittlebirdy They fail, look at physics, half lifes are 100% constant right, o wait, thats WRONG now lol...
Funny you should mention that. The culprit for the recent change in halflives is believed to be the sun, which has been acting very strangely recently. It's also been blamed for the polar ice caps on Mars melting, as well as every other planet in our solar system warming. This isn't really about whether or not our own polar icecaps are melting, because that much is obvious, it's simply about what is causing it, and if some people are trying to make an easy fortune from the idea of "man made global warming". The scientific community and the media have pushed the idea of man made global warming hard, while suppressing any and all information about the sun being linked to planetary changes across our entire solar system, because they are being greatly encouraged with funding to do so.

Edited by: Professor Tarantula on 11/10/2010 22:54:21 Physics pervades everything. It dictates how cells and molecules travel and behave as well as how mountain ranges are created by plates colliding. Most importantly in this case it has a very firm understanding of what warming and cooling is, and the processes which cause them.
Lets try to stick to what this individual actually said instead of playing the ad hominem game in an attempt to duck the issue. If he doesn't know what he's talking about, then it should be easy to prove his words wrong, right?

You're trying to dismiss what he said because of who he is. That is an ad hominem.
If you can't argue anything he said then just be quiet.

I know, i meant molecular physicist. This was brought up as a "gotcha" in another thread and i clarified, but since this thread keep resurfacing i may as well explain myself here.
To clarify, i would take the opinion of a molecular physicist over that of a 'climatologist' any day.

I suppose you think warm is just warm, and not trillions of vibrating particles.

And I suppose you think that Eve's game play tactics are just flipping ones and zeros on a server.
I do, actually. Anything built on top of that, like python, would be a case of 'not seeing the forest for the trees'. You can group together and simplify those on and off switches all you want, but it doesn't make them go away, and anyone who understands how computers work on a binary level will be much more advanced in their understanding of code and computers in general.

First explain to me how man made global warming is causing the same effects on every other planet in our solar system.
I think some of you need to go back and read this whole thread through.

Originally by: baltec1 Humanity is having an impact, this is a fact, the question is just how much.
Well objectively judging the evidence leads one to think it's very little.
Look, I used to be one of the biggest proponents of Man Made Global Warming. And not just like you keyboard jockeys, i had a job as an assistant manager of a Greenpeace office, and would spend my days canvassing large parts of a city with teams of people, preaching the same things you now are. That was something like 15 years ago, also, long before Al Gore made it more mainstream and acceptable.
I know where you're all coming from, however it doesn't seem to hold up anymore. And the Man Made Global Warming movement is only bringing forth taxes and things as a 'solution'. They're fine with everything remaining the way it is as long as they get some cash out of it.
